Broadband Manpack Antenna

30-110 MHz (1Y03950) Series I Communications Platform

The Series I Communications Platform is a tactical, ground independent, broadband dipole that attaches to the operator’s vest or rucksack. It has a frequency band of 30-90 MHz.
This antenna is designed to provide maximum radiation performance obtainable in the body worn configuration.
(1) 1 meter flexible upper radiator section.
(2) Lower flexible radiator section.
(3) Isolation cable that connects antenna to the radio.
The lower flexible radiator section (2) and isolation cable (3) are fitted around the radio operator’s torso. The 1 meter flexible upper radiator section (1) can either be folded over the operator’s shoulder and fastened to the web gear or released to extend above the operator’s shoulder for maximum performance. This antenna is designed with an eyelet in the tip of the 1 meter flexible upper radiator section. This allows the operator to suspend the antenna from a tree limb or other elevated objects while the radio remains near or at ground level.
Standoffs not supplied.
